Smithsonite (variety cadmium).
TB37AI6: Smithsonite (variety cadmium)
The Cadmium-rich Smithsonite variety is an uncommon find at Tsumeb so it is a pleasure to be able to photograph this druse of rhombohedral crystals with very well defined faces and edges and displaying a delicate orange color, due to the presence of Cadmium.
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region  Namibia
Specimen size: 5.9 × 5.3 × 4.6 cm = 2.32” × 2.09” × 1.81”

Smithsonite (variety cadmium).
TX92AJ3: Smithsonite (variety cadmium)
Aggregate on a Galena matrix of rhombohedral crystals with very well defined faces and edges and slight curvatures, with neat and very well marked geometrical zoning. They are very bright with a very intense yellow color, slightly orange. The sample is the cadmium rich variety, the rarest by far.
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region  Namibia
Specimen size: 7.2 × 6 × 2 cm = 2.83” × 2.36” × 0.79”

Main crystal size: 1.3 × 1 cm = 0.51” × 0.39”

Smithsonite (variety cadmium).
ME99V0: Smithsonite (variety cadmium)
Aggregate of acute rhombohedral crystals with very well defined faces and edges, and with neat and very well marked geometrical zoning. They are a very bright and with very intense yellow color that corresponds to the cadmian variety of this species.
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region  Namibia (1970-1985)
Specimen size: 5.1 × 4.4 × 4 cm = 2.01” × 1.73” × 1.57”

Main crystal size: 1 × 0.8 cm = 0.39” × 0.31”

Price: [SOLD]
Smithsonite (variety Cd-rich smithsonite).
TP50AH6: Smithsonite (variety Cd-rich smithsonite)
Druse of Smithsonite crystals on matrix. They have the dominant form of a rhombohedron, with very well defined faces and edges and a soft orange color due to the presence of cadmium. This cadmian Smithsonite variety is surely the rarest found at Tsumeb.
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Otjikoto Region  Namibia
Specimen size: 5.3 × 3.9 × 3 cm = 2.09” × 1.54” × 1.18”
